Shibboleth

Judges 12.5-6
5 The Gileadites seized the fords of the Jordan before the Ephraimites arrived. And when any Ephraimite who escaped said, “Let me cross over,” the men of Gilead would say to him, “Are you an Ephraimite?” If he said, “No,”
6 then they would say to him, “Then say, ‘Shibboleth’!” And he would say, “Sibboleth,” for he could not pronounce it right. Then they would take him and kill him at the fords of the Jordan. There fell at that time forty-two thousand Ephraimites.


1.0 The following argument presents Muslims with an insoluble conundrum. Please follow along. If you think this approach “harsh” or “intolerant”, I invite you to go live in Mohammed’s homeland. Saudi Arabian Wahhabi/ Salafism is especially close to the original Islam of Mohammed.

1.2 Here is the essential argument:
1. Mohammed had sex with nine year-old Aisha. The Islamic scriptures  speak with one voice, and with no shame at all. Aisha was a child of six when Mohammed married her, and nine when he “consummated” their marriage [1].

2. This is child molesting (also possibly pedophilia), and in a civilized nation it is a very serious crime. [2]

3. Muslims are taught that Mohammed is the Prophet, the ideal man, and that they should follow his example.

4. Therefore, by necessary inference [3], Muslims must believe, or at least accept, that having sex with prepubescent (or peripubescent) children is normal and good.

1.3 This argument demands that we must ask one several question of the Muslim:

Do you approve of Mohammed, the Prophet of Allah, and the ideal man of Islam, molesting a child?

1.4 Once the facts of the case are established, and the “back doors", pathetic arguments such as “the age of consent used to be lower in (name a Western nation)”, or “girls matured earlier back then”, or even “child marriage preserves or protects the girl from rape”- once these escape hatches have been closed, the argument rises solid as a diamond obelisk. Muslims must do one of three things:

Confess that they agree with Mohammed’s behavior; but this implicates them in child molesting.
Lie (taquiyya) about their beliefs, and openly denounce Mohammed; but this makes them commit blasphemy, which in shari’a law is punishable by death.
Reform (or reinterpret) the scriptures about Mohammed, and embrace human values. But this makes them literally stick their necks out as heretics or apostates to other Muslims.

1.5 The molestation of Aisha by Mohammed thus presents Muslims with a three-way shibboleth: Will you agree with Mohammed and implicate yourselves in the most heinous crime; will you blaspheme the Prophet; or will you renounce him?

1.6 I invite any Muslim reading this to renounce Mohammed’s crimes against humanity. I invite you to apostatize from Islam, and become free. There is a growing community of apostates, such as Wafa Sultan, Walid Shoebat, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the “Son of Hamas”, and many more.

1.7 There are multitudes of free people, such as myself, who will help you escape Islam. I invite you to say “shibboleth”, and become. I know you can.

Caveat:
Muslims may try to argue from other scriptures that Aisha was in fact much older than nine. But what about all the scriptures I quote here- and there are many others- If all of these scriptures are false, or mean something other than what they plainly say, how can you (Muslims) trust any of your scriptures?

Narrated 'Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for 'Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fateh-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13) Sahih Bukhari 8:73:151

“My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down...while Muhammad was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. The other men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old..” Tabari IX:131

'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, and he (sic) was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old. Sahih Muslim 8:3311

Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: I have been informed that 'Aisha remained with the Prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death)." Sahih Bukhari 7:62:65

"Aisha said, "The Apostle of Allah married me when I was seven years old." (The narrator Sulaiman said: "Or six years."). "He had intercourse with me when I was 9 years old." Abu-Dawud 2:2116

[2] See for example USAM Chapter 9-75.000. Sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, (e.g., Aisha), is treated with special severity.

[3] Necessary inference: If I teach you to follow Jesus, and you find that he said “Let the little children come unto me, and do not forbid them”, this necessarily implies that you should be kind to little children. Conversely, being kind to little children is a necessary inference.
