Shooting Through the Baby Carriage

1.1 On the Internet, there is currently a cartoon depicting an Israeli soldier confronting a Philistinian. The Israeli is aiming his rifle, crouching protectively in front of a baby carriage. The Philistinian is aiming also, but he is crouching behind a baby carriage. This tactical tableau is supposed to show the greater humanity and honor of Israelis and Westerners in general. We protect innocent civilians; our enemies hide behind them.
1.2 The display of self-righteous bravado is almost sickening. First of all, in a real combat, the Israeli would be dead, and the Philistinian would continue his war against civilization. Secondly, why are we so proud of our “honor”? Muslims, such as the Philistinians, also have a sense of honor, but it causes them to mutilate or kill their own daughters and wives.
1.3 In their culture, “indecent” or disobedient women, even those who have been raped, dishonor their families. To restore honor, such women must be corporally punished. This has led to a long trail of blood and tears, as women of Muslim families here in the West also suffer and die for the sake of family honor. (Remember Amina and Sarah Said, forever.)
1.4 Whether we agree with this Bronze Age misogynistic mind set is irrelevant in real world situations. Whatever disdain we hold for the Philistinian behind the baby carriage, and no matter how civilized or spiritually exalted we think ourselves: in situations such as the above, the “honorable” combatant will die and the “dishonorable” will not only live, but go on fighting.
1.5 We may call those who do not share our sense of honor “cowards”, but the cowardly combatants will fight on with renewed confidence, because they see that civilized combatants are tactically handicapped, and our civilization made vulnerable, by our own sense of honor or humanity. In this they are correct.
1.6 We may hate, and I do hate, those who attack from behind, like predators; but that is what they are: predators of the human race. Once again, they are not concerned with notions of “honor”; their singular goal is to take down their prey. And this they do with the efficiency of a mountain lion or wolf. Fast, furious, and from behind, or from ambush- or from the cover of a baby carriage. Occasionally they will attack from the front, if they are really cocky, or their prey is trapped, as in a home invasion, or weak, as a woman or obvious weakling person.
1.7 Incidentally, the paucity of female arms bearers, of “girls with guns”, is amazing and alarming. How many women have been assaulted and even murdered because they thought they did not need, or should not carry, a weapon? God knows; I know that only a firearm can make a woman equal to a man in combat. Forget all that Charlie’s Angels stuff; a woman is simply no match for an equally-trained man. But with a gun: just point and click, and the bad guy goes away.
1.8 Under the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution, which reads, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” The Supreme Court has asserted that the 2nd Amendment is incorporated in the 14th [1]. Therefore all state gun laws are immediately unconstitutional, and illegal to enforce.
1.9 This is cause for some future “Million Man (and Woman) March for the Right to Bear Arms”. Imagine a peaceful parade of citizens toward our Capitol, all proudly bearing their weapons of self (and national) defense. This right allows us to face down any predator, foreign or domestic.
2.0 I am familiar with human predatory attack patterns because in April of 2006, three young black men (YBM) assaulted me. I had first seen the trio from my car, into which they were peering. Racial profiling of a “whitey”? I do not know, but they knew their intent. As I parked, I dismissed them as kids having fun. While walking through the apartment breezeway, I heard running steps behind me. They hit me in a group, from directly behind. Their hands slammed me forward, and I skidded about 3 feet on the cement. I crouched instinctively in a ball. Their fists pummeled my back.
2.1 I thought at first, This is not happening to me. Then as it dawned on me that the beating was real and also escalating, I called for help. The young fellows ran just as quickly back into the night. I do not know if they were Muslims or homegrown thugs, but their assault modus operandi was exactly the one employed by Somali Muslim thugs in Minnesota. The Somalis’ own video of predatory pranks, including football-style tackling of an older white man and bullying of a middle-aged Somali, can at this writing still be unearthed from YouTube.
2.2 Anyway, I called the police, who of course heard “YBM”, and the three thugs disappeared into a huge crowd. As for me, after the shock of seeing my “safe neighborhood” bubble popped, I had to nurse flesh wounds in both knees, scraped hands, and a strange injury to my left index finger. Whatever happened in that moment the predators slammed me into the pavement, the end joint of my finger began to swell to the size and color of a grape. It gradually subsided, but the nail grew back in flat rather than convex. After 5 years, I can look at the two index finger nails and remember that night. And I will always remember. But I digress.
2.3 Predatory behavior is predatory behavior, and should be dealt with as such regardless of the predators’ species. For example, the YBM thugs who assaulted me, today would find a new man in me. I guarantee that at least two would not get home, and the other would be fortunate to escape. I learned from that experience to let my shock and fear turn into something else. I have come to call it a steely resolve.
2.4 With this resolve, a spirit of steel, we can stand up to any foe, whether some wannabe gangstas or foaming, screaming Soldiers of Allah, or even the smiling serpents of stealth jihad. However, this resolve of steel requires to be tempered in ice water.
2.5 Let us return to the Israeli soldier and his baby-blocked Philistinian foe. I really believe that an Israeli did not concoct that cartoon, because Israelis are combat savvy. Consider their airline security. The crew has a separate doorway; there is no entry from the passengers’ area to the cabin. Since no one can commandeer control of the aircraft, a scenario like 9/11 could not occur with an Israeli jetliner. Also consider Krav Maga (approx.“Hand Combat”), one of the very few self-defense techniques actually tested in combat. This Israeli national self-defense art is no holds barred, nothing taboo, and therefore, extremely effective. Silence! I kill you! Oh, go to halal, Ahmed.
2.6 Our attitude in confronting Islamic jihad must be the same as personal defense in Krav Maga: no holds barred. If there is a baby carriage between us and our enemy, we must shoot through the carriage. If the enemy hides behind women, we must shoot through them. If he holds children as hostages (Beslan), we attack everywhere and kill everything that offers resistance.
2.7 If the Muslim (or any other predator) holds my own loved ones as a “human shield”, and I know he will go on to kill many other innocents, I will shoot right through my family, that more people will be spared. I can go into therapy later.
2.8 Of course I pray God this never happens, and even the image is sickening, but we must be able to destroy our enemy regardless of cost. Let the enemy know that his shield of human tissue is made of tissue paper. And what of the famous “Rules of Engagement”? If we must wage war, then we must kill the enemy. Just kill him. We can count the cost later.
2.9 Is this too hard? Is this “uncivilized"? Am I “just like them”? Consider, please, with your emotions in check. In The Patriot, Mel Gibson confronts just this situation. An enemy soldier holds his son as a human shield, bound and with a knife to his neck. Mel’s character holds a tomahawk, at a distance of about 4 meters from the enemy. His son’s head is close beside the enemy’s. The patriot prepares to throw the tomahawk. He hesitates, then throws hard and fast. The blade splits the enemy soldier’s forehead, and the patriot’s son is spared.
3.0 Yet in that moment of hesitation, Mel’s character had to weigh the cost of his son’s life against the cost of letting the enemy have his way. In that moment, the patriot decided to risk his own son for the chance of saving him while destroying his enemy. Had the tomahawk landed in his son’s head, the patriot would still have the enemy’s life, and would take it with renewed fury.
3.1 If he had lowered his weapon, if he had obeyed modern Rules of Engagement, his son would have lived a little longer, perhaps, but the enemy would live to kill many more. Therefore the patriot ignored the human shield, his own son. He shot through his own baby carriage.
3.2 This must be our resolve, not only with Islamic jihadists, but with predators on civilization of all kinds: Do not ever negotiate with the enemy, except to deceive him. Do not ever pay the enemy ransom, except to deceive him [2]. Do not ever hesitate to kill the enemy, regardless of whose family he hides behind.
3.3 If this resolve of steel is too hard for us, we may as well raise the flag of Saudi Arabia over the Capitol right now. Our Islamic opponents know very well that we obey ridiculous Rules of Engagement; they even will throw down their AK’s, come out of their hooches (or whatever they call them in this war), and make fun of our GI’s. They know they are immune because, even for a moment, they are unarmed. Our GI’s must not attack known enemies unless they attack first.
3.4 When Apache helicopter gunners sight an enemy, they must ask several times for permission to engage. All the while, they are hovering, exposed to surface-to-air attacks. The Rules of Engagement mean, ironically, that many US states allow civilians more rights to self defense than our armed forces allow our fighting men [3].
3.5 This entire situation, this worm-like, shrinking attitude toward enemies with hostages, this fear of being “just like them”, gives the enemy a huge advantage. Just as we allow Muslims all sorts of privileges in the Western nations, for example allowing them to form prayer blockades in our streets, serving the barbarically-slaughtered halal meats in restaurants and schools, and allowing their protests while prohibiting our own [4], so too our mollusk-like softness ties our hands in actual combat.
3.6 If we are too tender, too humane (and how righteous that makes us feel!), just too civilized to destroy the enemy wherever or behind whomever he hides; if we do not develop a resolve like tempered steel, then we cannot shoot through the baby carriage. If there are things so awful we cannot do them, then we cannot win against an enemy who does.
3.7 The choice is ours. We can drop the bomb, figuratively or literally, as against the Japanese; we can raze Hamburg to the ground, as against the Nazis; or we can be very sensitive and humane with our current enemy, and give ourselves and all of our children over to the tender mercies of Mohammed.

[1] Incorporation means the right in question is embedded in and protected by the 14th Amendment, 2nd clause, “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States”. See SCOTUS landmark decision, McDonald v. Chicago, 2010. Really the doctrine of Incorporation should be unnecessary, but I am glad the Founders put up a firewall against infringement on the Amendments by the states. Now to get all the states, especially California, Massachusetts, and New York, in line with the Supreme Court and the Constitution...
[2] Interestingly, in Ransom, another film starring Mel Gibson, he bravely refuses to pay ransom for his son, in effect shooting through the baby carriage; thus he makes the predator helpless to attack him. Of course, in the end, his son is rescued and Mel gets to bash the predator’s head to a pulp. Satisfying, perhaps, but I would have...never mind.
[3] In Florida, for instance, if a tough-looking unarmed predator were to confront me, even before he touched me, if I felt endangered, I could give him a lead injection and be held harmless by the law. Of course, a civil suit would still be possible. Wise man say, it is better to be sued by one’s enemies, than mourned by one’s friends. In any case the predator, who statistically would have been 85-95% likely to commit the same crime or worse, would be maximally disabled from doing so.
[4] I speak, for instance, of Tommy Robinson of the English Defence League, who was recently jailed for the temerity of breaking a court order, and peacefully speaking near Tower Hamlets, one of the Muslim-occupied zones (MOZ). There are over 750 of these in France, where they are called Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or “Sensitive Urban Zones”. Closer to home, members of Acts Apologetics have been harassed and jailed for peacefully speaking with people near the Arab (Muslim) Festival in Dearborn, MI. The Muslims themselves were immune to legal action, despite selling Philistinian anti-Israeli products, including a tee-shirt depicting the “Calvin” character urinating on the flag of Israel. We will see whose flag gets drowned in urine.
